ART 445 - Advanced Digital Fabrication Credit Hours: 3 The course focuses on continued development of technical skills in computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) in art and design practice. Emphasis on expanding the students’ artistic portfolios through the use of advanced CAD software and combining multiple CAM processes such as 3D printing, CNC milling, and laser cutting/engraving. The instructional process includes lecture, critique, and supervised studio practice. May be repeated up to a total of 6 hours.
Prerequisite: ART 345 or permission of instructor. Lab contact hours: 6
