ELE 500 - Current Issues and Applications in Elementary Education Credit Hours: 3-5 Application of current innovations and examination of contemporary issues facing elementary teachers including classroom management, inclusion, multilingual learners, integrated planning and instruction with art, music, health and physical education. A comprehensive field experience in area school classrooms is required. May be taught concurrently with ELE 600. Cannot receive credit for both ELE 500 and ELE 600. Public Affairs Capstone Experience course.
Prerequisite: B- grade or better in ELE 425 and ELE 429 and ELE 434 or ELE 604; and ELE 438 ; and concurrent enrollment in ELE 440 and ELE 501 and ELE 510 and ELE 530 ; and admitted to Teacher Education. Corequisite: ELE 510 . Typically offered: Fall, Spring
