EDU 952 - Qualitative Methods


Credit Hours: 3

The purpose of this course is to teach the basic principles and practices of qualitative inquiry in education. Students learn about qualitative research designs that educators use to examine educational issues and problems. Students learn about the various approaches and techniques used in qualitative research, including interviews, focus groups, and participant observation. They also learn how to develop research questions and research designs that are appropriate for qualitative research, and how to collect, analyze, and interpret data using a variety of qualitative data analysis techniques.

Prerequisite: must be admitted to the EdD Program.
