DTN 741 - Medical Nutrition Therapy II Practicum

This is the second of a two-semester course sequence providing 320 hours of field experience in patient/client nutritional management at various sites under professional supervision. Emphasis will be on utilizing the nutrition care process in providing medical nutrition therapy to include at least tube feeding, TPN, pre/post surgery patients in an acute or clinical setting with a research component required as part of the practicum.

Prerequisite: admission to the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program or the graduate Dietetic Internship Certificate Program.
