BIO 616 - Evolution Credit Hours: 3
A survey of modern evolutionary biology, including the evidence that supports the theory of evolution, the natural processes that cause evolution, patterns and mechanisms of speciation, and methods for estimating evolutionary relationships. May be taught concurrently with BIO 515. Cannot receive credit for both BIO 515 and BIO 616.
Recommended Prerequisite: genetics course; and college algebra or pre-calculus mathematics course.
