PBH 710 - Clinical Epidemiology Credit Hours: 3
This course is an introduction to the epidemiological methods and procedures utilized in a clinical environment. This course will include the study of infectious and non-infectious disease epidemiology. Students will learn how to use basic epidemiological concepts and methods in the clinical setting in order to make better decisions regarding evidence based medicine and quality of care. Basic statistical measures used in the analysis of clinical and epidemiologic evaluations, including measures of disease frequency and measures of absolute and relative effects, will be covered. Additional topics include accessing and evaluating sources of data, qualitative and quantitative systematic reviews of literature based evidence, and meta-analyses. Identical with NUR 710 . Cannot receive credit for both PBH 710 and NUR 710 .
