SEC 495 - Theory into Practice: Applications Workshop Credit Hours: 1-3 Students enroll in workshops, offered during the supervised teaching semester, that help student teachers with particularly important and difficult tasks involving such things as how to work with diverse student populations, how to apply effective reading strategies, and how to manage students in the classroom. Additional aspects of teaching unique to particular subject matter areas will also be explored.
Prerequisite: completion of all method courses in chosen content area; and a C grade or better in all professional education courses; approval for supervised teaching; and concurrent enrollment in SEC 493 or other supervised teaching course. Corequisite: SEC 493 Typically offered: Fall, Spring
