HST 340 - Industrialization in Global Perspective Credit Hours: 3 This course looks at origins and spread of industrialization as a global phenomena beginning with the preindustrial wave of global expansion that began around 1450 and continuing up to the present. It blends broad synthetic treatments with detailed case studies to trace the development and spread of industrial technology across cultures. Although the perspective is global most of the geographic concentration is on Britain, the U.S., Japan, and more recently, China.
Recommended Prerequisite: HST 122 .
