HST 354 - History of Europe, 1715-Present Credit Hours: 3 This course surveys the major themes of European history from the 18th century to the present. Topics will include the Enlightenment, the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Empire, industrialization and its consequences, nationalism and imperialism during the “Long 19th Century” the “World Wars” of the 20th century, and the evolving social, political, and cultural dynamics of modern and contemporary Europe.
