GLG 590 - Applied Geophysics Credit Hours: 3 Application of geophysical methods in solving geologic problems. Techniques covered include seismic refraction and reflection, gravity, magnetics, direct current and electromagnetic resistivity. Field trips required. May be taught concurrently with GLG 690. Cannot receive credit for both GLG 590 and GLG 690.
Prerequisite: either PHY 124 or PHY 204 ; and either MTH 280 or MTH 288 . Recommended Prerequisite: GLG 340 .
