CRM 365 - Criminal Procedure Credit Hours: 3 This course critically examines the constitutional and other legal controls placed on the government’s ability to collect evidence to be used in criminal proceedings. Special attention is given to Supreme Court decisions related to the issues of privacy, detention, arrest, searches, seizures, interrogations, confessions, wiretapping and eavesdropping, right to counsel, and protections against self-incrimination. Issues of officer liability are also addressed.
Prerequisite: CRM 210 and CRM 250 and CRM 260 and CRM 270 . Lecture contact hours: 3
