CSC 538 - Parallel and Distributed Computing Credit Hours: 3 Introduction to parallel and distributed computing through algorithms, strategies for problem decomposition, system architecture, implementation strategies, and performance analysis. In this course, students will have the opportunity to write parallel or distributed programs and applications in several contexts such as multithreaded programming, general purpose computing on a graphics processing unit, and MPI programming.
