BMS 567 - Physiology of Exercise Metabolism Credit Hours: 4 Introduction to the study of human metabolic and work physiology. Digestion, absorption, and metabolism of biologically important nutrients as they affect cellular energy transfer; mechanisms of energy transfer in cells during various forms of work; oxygen transport and utilization at the cellular and system level; factors modifying the efficiency of human work performance. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass. May be taught concurrently with BMS 667. Cannot receive credit for both BMS 567 and BMS 667.
Prerequisite: C grade or better in BMS 308 and C grade or better in DTN 240 . Lecture contact hours: 3 Lab contact hours: 2
