AST 112 - Life in the Universe Credit Hours: 3 An exploration of the prospects for life on other worlds and what that detection, or non-detection, means to humanity. Topics include the origin of elements in the Universe and how they form the building blocks of life, how conditions favorable for life can occur on planets, how life evolves, recent discoveries of exoplanets, and possible effects of the discovery of extraterrestrial life on society.
