Major Requirements
Note: Three hours may double count toward General Education requirements. One of the Following Statistics Courses:
18 Additional Hours in Economics
18 Hours in Satisfaction of Plan A or B:
- Plan A: Concentration of at least 18 hours in any discipline in which a major is offered
- Plan B: Concentration of at least nine hours in each of two disciplines in which a major is offered
The 18 Hour Block in Plan A and Each Nine Hour Block in Plan B Must Satisfy the Following Additional Restrictions:
- The courses within a block must all have the same course code (prefix).
- At least two thirds of the credit hours in each block must be from upper division courses.
- Transfer credit may only be used if the relevant course has been determined to be equivalent to a specific MSU course (and not to an unspecified elective).
Public Affairs Capstone Experience will be fulfilled by completion of:
Tracks
All majors wishing to pursue careers in either Business or Public Administration/Government, or wishing to pursue Graduate Study in Economics or attend Law School are encouraged (but not required) to choose electives from the following relevant set of courses: Business Orientation Track
Public Administration/Government Orientation Track
Graduate School Orientation Track
Law School Orientation Track
