General Information

The criminology program at Missouri State University provides a solid foundation for the study of the nature, causes and control of criminal behavior through academic courses, internship opportunities and community partnerships. The undergraduate criminology program focuses on finding solutions to problems and issues in criminal justice,while the graduate program provides students with the tools for evaluating criminal justice initiatives. Overall, the programs strive tocreate a healthy balance between academic analysis and technical education needed for a successful career in the field.
