PTE 762 - Pathophysiology/Differential Diagnosis III Credit Hours: 2
This course is the third in a series of three courses, building on PTE 731 and PTE 741 , and continuing to focus on the development of skills to formulate differential diagnoses, identify patients who are appropriate for physical therapy intervention, identify red flags, understand common pharmacological interventions and their effects on physical therapy treatment, and appropriately refer patients who have pathophysiological conditions outside the physical therapy scope of practice. Case studies/clinical vignettes are incorporated to integrate concepts from other patient management courses with emphasis on understanding pathophysiology and the development of differential diagnostic skills.
