SWK 375 - Social Work Perspectives with Latino/a Communities Credit Hours: 3 This course focuses on providing services to Spanish-speaking communities, with historical context for understanding current social, health, economic, political, and legal issues facing the population. Strategies for serving individuals and families through culturally and linguistically appropriate services will be presented in class. A strengths perspective will be offered to identify alternative service frameworks for addressing contemporary barriers to health and social services.
