ACC 790 - Emerging Technologies in Accounting


Credit Hours: 3

This course explores the impact of emerging technologies on the accounting profession. Emphasis is placed on the application of these tools to accounting functions, the evaluation of risks and opportunities, and the consideration of ethical and professional implications. Students will analyze case studies, review current research, and engage in applied assignments to develop a critical understanding of how technological innovation shapes financial reporting, assurance, taxation, and managerial decision-making. Students gain the skills necessary to adapt to dynamic technological environments and pursue diverse career paths in accounting and related fields.

Prerequisite: admitted to MAcc program.
