CFC 110 - Reading and Writing for College Credit Hours: 3 The goals of this course are to help students learn ways to use reading to learn content, for pleasure, and to write for different audiences and purposes. Reading and writing aren’t just for assignments; they can help students understand tough concepts, take useful notes, and share their thoughts at Missouri State University. Students will build confidence in writing, learn to respond to others’ writing, and read for fun. Typical tasks will include writing at the start and end of class, sharing work, writing a resume, and reading books you enjoy. Students will also learn about different learning styles and useful tools to help them in college and beyond. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass.
Prerequisite: enrolled in the Bear POWER certificate program. Lecture contact hours: 3
