MED 361 - Introduction to Sound Recording

This foundational course explores field and custom sound recording with an emphasis on sound as both an artistic medium and a storytelling tool. Students will learn fundamental recording technologies and techniques for capturing sounds in live or field settings, along with basic editing and mixing strategies. Through hands-on projects, participants will creatively design and manipulate audio for applications in film, television, radio, podcasts, games, and immersive media.
