MTH 103 - Intermediate Algebra Credit Hours: 3 This course is recommended for students who have not mastered algebra concepts needed for precalculus courses. Topics include, but are not limited to: linear and quadratic equations, absolute value equations and inequalities, properties of exponents, rectangular coordinate systems, lines, parabolas, radical equations, polynomials and rational expressions, and functions. A C grade or better is required in this course in order to take MTH 136 or MTH 138. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass.
Prerequisite: MTH 101 or an appropriate score on the mathematics placement exam. Lecture contact hours: 3
