AGS 300 - Food Chemistry Credit Hours: 3 Emphasis on chemical precursors of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Application of chemical reactions that impact production of and metabolism of nutrients. Biological and pharmaceutical production of various nutritional and medical products and how they affect food production will be covered.
Prerequisite: BIO 101 or higher numbered BIO course; and CHM 107 or higher numbered CHM course. Recommended Prerequisite: AGS 101 .
