ANE 700 - Evidence Based Practice and Statistics for Nurse Anesthesiology Credit Hours: 3
Study of the researcher role, research process, research skills, scientific writing, and research ethics. Study the use of technology in graduate studies. Dissect the meaning of a scholarly work and its purpose. Use science based theories and concepts to analyze new practice approaches. A study of statistical methods relevant to critical evaluation of research and scholarly work. An overview of the fundamentals of evidence-based practice in Nurse Anesthesia. Using evidence retrieval/library skills common in nurse anesthesia, students will explore Evidence Based Practice topics, critically evaluate research, and dissect the meaning of a scholarly work and its purpose.
Prerequisite: admission to the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program. Lecture Contact Hours: 3
